Education and Research Center

Training and Support

Northwood is committed to your success and wants your machine producing for you as quickly and efficiently as possible. To that end, comprehensive training is provided with the purchase of every machining center. When you purchase a Northwood CNC Stone machine, you receive one week of hands-on training at Northwood's state-of-the-art Education and Research Center in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition, a Northwood staff technician travels to your place of business and remains there for up to two weeks to assist with setting up your machine and to train your staff how to operate it. By the time the technician leaves, your machine is in full operation.

If you need additional training at any time – for new employees or those needing to enhance or refresh their operational skills — it is provided at Northwood upon request for the lifetime of your machining center. Training and Support

Northwood’s Education and Research Center ensures that you learn everything you need to know about your machine. Application engineers at the Center work collaboratively with you through the complete product development cycle. This approach results in the creation of innovative procedures and product options which increase your productivity and simplify operational processes.

After you purchase your Northwood Stone machine, you spend a week at the Education and Research Center where you receive both classroom instruction and hands-on machine practice. By the time you complete your training, you know exactly how your machine works and what you need to do to put it to work for your business.

For customers who purchase TA (3-Axis) and FA (5-Axis) machining centers outside of the stone industy, all training is provided at the customer's facility.  This ensures that training can meet the unique needs of your machine as every application of the machinery is different.  A custom installation and training package is designed for every customer at the time of purchase.
