In 2010, Northwood debuted the first Low Tank SawJET machine ever seen in the stone industry. This machine provides the fabricator with the legendary SawJET technology in a new low form and smaller footprint. This means the machine takes up less of your valuable shop floor space while still carrying the same workload. The machine maximizes efficiency through easier loading and unloading.
For a listing of available technologies on the Northwood SawJet machines visit our Northwood Stoneworks SawJET Technologies and features page.

The Northwood Low Tank SawJet features a 12' x 7' large work envelope, a Fanuc machine control, a high-torque SmartSaw with PowerTilt Technology and a high-pressure abrasive waterjet. The saw and waterjet combination allow the SawJET to maximize yeild of material will minimizing costs when possible. This means that the software automatically utilizes the less-expensive saw blade to make straight cuts and only uses the high-pressure waterjet for tight nests or curved parts. This minimizes the expense of maintaining an abrasive waterjet intensifier.
For safety, Northwood provides an emergency stop cable that encloses the moving gantry and tooling plate as well as a remote operator pedestal that can be featured opposite the main machine control cabinet or HMI (Human Machine Interface).
