In the stone world, there’s no shortage of noise—but not nearly enough real talk.
That’s why we created Stone Tech Talk—a new space on Instagram and Facebook dedicated to sharing practical knowledge from the fabrication floor. Whether you’re running a manual shop looking to scale, or already deep into CNC and automation, Stone Tech Talk exists for one reason:
To give fabricators the insight, strategy, and truth they need to grow.
No fluff. No generic content. Just hard-earned lessons, machine walkthroughs, workflow tips, tooling strategies, and stories straight from the shop floor.
Why We Built It
Stone Tech Talk is powered by the crew at Northwood Machine, but it’s not just about our equipment. We’ve been building machines—and relationships—with fabricators across the country for over 30 years. Along the way, we’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and where most shops hit a wall.
This new channel is where we share that knowledge with the industry. It’s a way to connect with fabricators who take pride in their craft and want to do things better, faster, and smarter.
Meet the Crew
The voice behind Stone Tech Talk comes from the people who live and breathe this industry:
-
Robbie Tidwell – VP of Northwood’s stone division and industry veteran
-
Dillan Hamby – Field tech and installer with real-world CNC experience
-
Dalton Hamby – Tooling expert and machine ops specialist
-
Brett Riner – Northwood service lead who knows what makes a shop tick
We’ll be bringing in guest voices from across the industry: shop owners, operators, tooling reps, and other fabricators who’ve learned lessons the hard way—and are ready to share them.
