Frequently asked questions
Find answers to questions we get regularly — including service, training, warranties and technical concepts.
None of your machines fit my needs. Can you make something custom?
Absolutely. We can customize almost any spec to fit your process and requirements — table size, drill size, number of spindles (we’re building one with 19 right now), you name it. Request a consultation with our expert engineers and we’ll talk about your goals.
I’m running into problems with my machine. How can you help?
We’re happy to offer both remote service and on-site technician visits as needed. To connect with our remote support team or submit a ticket, click here.
My machine is down and I need replacement parts. How quickly can you get them to me?
We keep a large inventory of spares and our home office is down the street from UPS’ headquarters, so we can drop off parts for overnight shipping until about 9 p.m. We’ll do everything we can to get you up and running again as quickly as possible. Learn more about our spare parts program here.
I need to train a new operator. What are my options?
All Northwood machines come with lifetime training. If you’re a stone fabricator, we offer classes at our facility in Phil Campbell, Alabama. If you work with advanced materials, we can send a tech to your shop. Learn more about our training classes here.
What materials can your CNCs work with?
Our CNCs are capable of cutting a wide range of common materials — including wood, stone, plastic, composites, metal and glass — as well as uncommon materials, like foam, fiberglass or graphite. If you’re curious about your specific material, talk to our team. We can probably help you.
