Ironside AMMS
The Ironside AMMS is an automated material management system for the Ironside series of CNC machines. Also known as a linear feedthrough, automation work cell or nested-based automation cell, the Ironside AMMS improves throughput by decreasing load and unload times.
With a truly automated system like the Ironside AMMS, an operator can safely keep their distance from the CNC machine — place materials in the load area and collect finished parts from the output conveyor. Not only does this improve safety, but it also allows manufacturing floors to do more with fewer resources.
The Ironside AMMS series features three setups for material handling — fully automated unloading, automatic loading and unloading, and pre-labeling with automatic loading and unloading. These options help nested-based manufacturers use their skilled labor more effectively.
Every variation includes servo positioning to keep the offload sweeper scraper and the offload belt conveyor aligned to spoil board height. If the positioning is off, parts become less consistent and efficiency declines. By controlling the drops, gaps and depths on the table, you prevent this from happening.
Every Northwood CNC machine features precision FANUC servo controls, automatic oil lubrication, a year-long subscription to Northwood LIVE and lifetime service and support from U.S.-based technicians.
