Iron Horse Material Handling
The Iron Horse Material Handling is an automated material handling system that can be added to almost any of our three- or five-axis moving or fixed table CNC machines. These systems allow you to load and unload parts faster, reduce repetitive or tedious tasks, and use your skilled labor more effectively.
As automated material handling has become more common, Northwood has built out a robust series of systems engineered for moving or fixed table CNC machines. No matter your footprint or materials, these systems can help increase your production by decreasing changeover time.
The Iron Horse Material Handling systems include fully automated loading and unloading, automated front unload, transfer systems (also called roller ball table systems), conveyors for material handling assisted unload on twin tables, and integral flippers for machining on more than one side of a part.
For fully automated systems, a narrow orientation can provide easier access to your work table, while a wide orientation can save floorspace.
